The Floriya is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established to preserve, promote, and celebrate the rich cultural heritage of Odisha among Odia diaspora families across Florida.
We believe every Odia child growing up in Florida deserves to know their roots — to speak the language, understand the festivals, appreciate the classical arts, and feel the warmth of a community that feels like home.
Since our founding in 2022, we have grown from a small group of families in Tampa to a statewide community spanning Miami, Jacksonville, and beyond — united by our shared love for Odisha.
To preserve and celebrate the rich cultural heritage of Odisha, build a strong and inclusive Odia community in Florida, empower youth to connect with their roots, and serve the broader Florida community through cultural exchange and charitable activities.
A Florida where every Odia family feels a profound sense of belonging — where children grow up proud of their heritage, fluent in their mother tongue, and connected to a vibrant community that celebrates Odisha's magnificent culture.
The principles that shape every event, program, and interaction in our community.
We honor our Odia identity — language, art, music, dance, and literature — with deep pride and joy, ensuring these traditions flourish far from their homeland.
We welcome everyone — Odia, non-Odia, first-generation, second-generation — to participate, contribute, and belong to our warm community.
We invest in the next generation, ensuring Odia heritage lives on through every child raised in Florida through education and cultural immersion.
We give back to our local Florida community, neighbors in need, and to Odisha through charitable initiatives, disaster relief, and scholarships.
Every festival, every gathering is an opportunity to bring joy, connection, and cultural vibrancy into the lives of our members and friends.
We are custodians of a living culture — preserving time-honored traditions while thoughtfully adapting them for life in 21st-century America.
